September 18th, Wednesday, 6 pm, NEMCO OPENING DINNER and General Membership Meeting at North Hills Country Club. Dr Moylan Mills will present “Rita Hayworth, Her Remarkable Career and Challenging Life”. Come and enjoy a delicious dinner, good company and an interesting presentation.
October 1st, Tuesday, 10 am, Bloomfield Farm in Philadelphia is across the street from Morris Arboretum. Tour of the Historic Springfield Mill, a working creekside flour mill, with one-ton millstones that grind corn and wheat kernels. Optional lunch after the tour.
October 11th, Friday, 5 pm, International Day of the Girl Child is annual international observance that the UN began in 2012. We will have a discussion of how we can support more opportunities for girls and increase awareness of gender inequality faced by girls, worldwide, based upon their gender while enjoying a Wine and Cheese tasting at a member’s home. Optional dinner to follow.
November 4th, Monday, 10 am, Malmark Handbell Presentation in Plumsteadville. Malmark Bellcraftsmen have been at the forefront of handbell design and production for over 40 years, manufacturing the largest range of handbells in the world. Optional lunch to follow.
November 14th, Thursday, 6:30 pm, “Capital Sin: Murder in Montgomery County”, Charles Kelly will review select murder cases and trial outcomes that took place between 1877 and 1962, many cases are unsolved and featured women victims. Free Program at Montgomery County Historical Society.
November 23rd, Saturday, 8am-1pm, bi-annual Mini-conference, Philadelphia Girls Enjoying Science (PAGES). The goal is to increase girls’ interest in Science and Mathematics at Chestnut Hill College.
December 4th, Wednesday, 12 noon, Holiday Celebration Lunch Bunch at the Historic Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales.
January 7th, Tuesday, noon, Re-creation of a Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea. Dress in period costumes (optional) and enjoy a proper British Afternoon Tea, at a member’s home. (The new Downton Abbey film is to be released on September 20, 2019). This event supports our Scholarship Fund.
February 4th, Tuesday, 10:30am, Continental Tavern in Yardley, An Underground Railway site. Come and learn the history of the Inn during Black History Month and hear its part in the protection of freed slaves. The Tavern is recently restored to its exact look and configuration when it was rebuilt in 1877. Lunch to follow at the Tavern.

April 8th, Wednesday, 10am, Bharatiya Temple, a Multi Deity Hindu and Jain Temple, 1612 County Line Road, Chalfont. A guided tour of the Temple followed by q & a. Lunch following optional.
April 18th, Saturday, 8am-1pm, bi-annual Mini-conference, Philadelphia Girls Enjoying Science (PAGES). The goal is to increase girls’ interest in Science and Mathematics at Chestnut Hill College.
April 24-26, Fri-Sun, AAUW-PA STATE CONVENTION at The Central Hotel and Conference Center in Harrisburg. All are welcome!
May 7th, Thursday, 10:30am, A docent led tour of Chanticleer Gardens and Home in Wayne. The home was built in 1913 for Alfred Rosengarten, the head of a Philadelphia pharmaceutical company. The tour will last about 60 minutes. This event supports our Scholarship Fund. Optional picnic lunch to follow.
June 17th, Wednesday, noon, NEMCO’s Second Annual Picnic, general meeting and swearing in of new officers at a member’s home.
